Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are attempting to use it to re-align territories for our North America sales team. It is being used by the Sales Ops department to align zip codes to territories.
Pros and Cons
  • Cost - cheap compared to other software
  • straightforward - relatively straightforward use
  • User Interface - outdated
  • Icons fail to work; software non-operational at the moment
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited to pull postal codes for North America. Integration with SFDC did not work, and training/support, in this case, was in its infancy stage. Not a good experience.
Return on Investment
  • Difficult to quantify. Certainly easier to use Xactly AlignStar over hand drawing, but can't review how it compares to other tools.
Alternatives Considered
Xactly AlignStar mapping and postal codes are more accurate and a little easier to use. Tableau was not built for territory creation but COULD be used for it in a pinch. Tableau would be significantly easier to make more data-backed decisions for territories than Xactly AlignStar due to no integration with our data sources with the exception of downloading and uploading each one.
